4 classes for the price of 1. Every Friday, students ages 8 and up take four hands-on, one-hour classes back to back: Auto Repair, Woodworking, Grilling and Sports Broadcasting.
Fridays at Eaton is built for kids who learn by doing. Instead of worksheets, they work with real tools on real projects, guided step by step with safety first. Here is the lineup at our Kendall Riverside campus:
Auto Repair: Pop the hood and learn how a car really works, from checking fluids and tire pressure to reading the dashboard lights.
Woodworking: Measure, mark, sand and assemble real projects, learning how each tool works and how to handle it safely.
Grilling: Learn grill safety, food handling and the basics of cooking over a flame, then enjoy what the group made.
Sports Broadcasting: Call the play-by-play, write and deliver a sports report, and build confidence speaking on the mic.
Students work in small groups, so they also learn to communicate, take turns and solve problems together. No experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to roll up their sleeves. Classes run every Friday of the spring semester except March 26 (spring break). Spots are limited, so register early.
