Wendy Velasquez is a National Board-Certified ELA teacher with 12 years of experience guiding
middle-school writers from rough draft to polished prose. Her passion for diverse literature and
Socratic discussion helps students develop critical-thinking skills and a lifelong love of reading.
Wendy has been featured in Edutopia for her project-based approach to teaching rhetoric
and creative nonfiction.
Dr. Hilda
Mathematics
Holding a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Hilda Pinto spent a decade as a NASA data-modeling specialist
before shifting to education. She makes algebra and geometry tangible through real-world
simulations—think calculating Mars-lander trajectories to master quadratic functions. Hilda’s
classes consistently score in the 95th percentile on statewide assessments.

Nancy Goyal is a certified STEM educator and former biotech researcher who brings lab-bench discoveries

Adrianne Ramos is a National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow who has trekked six continents to

Stephanie Mejia is a civil-engineer-turned-educator who brings design thinking to math instruction.
