4 classes for the price of 1. Every Friday, students ages 8 and up take four hands-on, one-hour classes back to back: Art, Crochet, Cooking and Sewing.
Fridays at Eaton is built for kids who learn by doing. Instead of worksheets, they work with real materials on real projects, guided step by step. Here is the lineup at our Kendall Christ Scientist campus:
Art: Explore drawing, painting and mixed media, building real technique one project at a time.
Crochet: Learn the basic stitches, follow simple patterns and finish pieces to keep or give away.
Cooking: Follow recipes, measure ingredients and practice kitchen safety while making dishes to share.
Sewing: Thread a needle, learn the basic stitches and turn fabric into simple finished projects.
Students work in small groups, so they also learn to communicate, take turns and solve problems together. No experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new. Classes run every Friday of the spring semester except March 26 (spring break). Spots are limited, so register early.
