Summer Reading Comprehension (Online) is designed to help students strengthen their reading skills while building confidence and deeper understanding of what they read. This engaging online program focuses on developing the core skills students need to become thoughtful, capable readers.
Meeting Monday through Thursday in live online sessions, students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will work on essential comprehension strategies such as identifying main ideas, making inferences, understanding vocabulary in context, and analyzing story structure. Each session includes guided reading, interactive discussions, and targeted exercises that help students think critically about the text.
Rather than simply reading, students learn how to read with purpose—asking questions, drawing connections, and explaining their thinking. Small group instruction allows the teacher to provide personalized guidance while creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable participating.
This program is ideal for students who want to strengthen comprehension, prevent summer learning loss, and start the next school year with stronger reading skills.
